Always ready to go, Justine was an Arabian mix born on our farm to our mare, Merrylegs. She became a wonderful trail companion, happily keeping pace with the walking horses and bringing her own lively spirit to every outing.
She had a softer side, too. For about a year, a rabbit became her little barn companion—a sweet detail that still makes me smile. Justine spent her retirement with us and lived to be thirty.
This portrait celebrates a horse I knew and loved. Finished in copper with Tiffany green patina, white markings, and her own mane and tail hair, she carries a tangible connection to the mare who inspired her.
Part of The Unbridled Mare collection, Justine honors the individual horses whose companionship stays with us long after the ride ends.
